Van Dijk Heating: 50 years young

Van Dijk Heating is exactly fifty years old this year! This specialist in water treatment, heating, CO₂ and climate technology was founded in 1975 by Piet van Dijk. He made a name for himself inside and outside the Netherlands with reliable, low-maintenance equipment and components.

Two loyal employees – Hans Harting and Joek van der Zeeuw – took over the company in 2004 and gradually expanded the product range. The Active Ventilation System (AVS) is the most prominent example. AVS systems are highly energy-efficient solutions for climate management in the high-tech greenhouse horticulture of today.

Hans Harting left the company in 2022 and transferred his shares to Greenhouse Technology Group. In this group of technical suppliers for the horticulture sector, Van Dijk Heating is given every opportunity to grow based on its brand and strength. Freek van Rijn has shaped that process over the past three years, Ton van Dijk is doing so now.

“Past results give no guarantee for the future, so there is no room for complacency,” notes Joek van der Zeeuw. “And it's fine to mention the people who have been at the management level over the years, but let's not forget that the people on the shop floor and in the office form the backbone of the company. I would especially like to shine a light on them. That will certainly happen, but how and when remains under wraps for now.”
