Ton van Dijk has been Managing Director of Van Dijk Heating as of the first of April. He succeeds Freek van Rijn, who is now at the helm of parent company Greenhouse Technology Group. “Ton has proven himself as CCO in recent years. He is an inspiring team captain and, as a former grower, he’s close to the customers,” Van Rijn says. “I am completely confident that this great company can flourish even more under the leadership of Ton and Technical Director Joek van der Zeeuw.”
Ton van Dijk (no relation to the company’s founder and namesake) hopes to live up to those expectations. “My own role in this is modest, because you always achieve good results when you pool your efforts,” the new Managing Director says emphatically. “My main task is to ensure that everyone is on the same page, and to create the best conditions for us to work together well.”
Van Dijk will take office under favorable conditions. In recent years, several new products and product variants have been developed that are sure to attract lots of international interest. “The recent energy crisis and climate goals pose major challenges for growers, but they also keep providing opportunities”, he concludes. “We are responding to this with energy-efficient solutions such as AVS and the upgraded Ecoster-E, which will have their official launch at the GreenTech Amsterdam in June. We see obvious growth in demand for our systems, both in Europe and in North America. Other regions will hopefully follow.”
